DRAKON

Our Story

Refuse to quit

At 8, I got the diagnosis. That same week I left the hospital and walked out to pitch my game. I've trained like a warrior every day since — and that's the same standard I built this brand on.

What we’re here to do

Drakon Sports serves the ones who put in the extra work. The ones who outwork, outlast, and refuse to settle. You’re up at 5AM while everyone else sleeps. You’ve already done the work before your competition wakes up. Champions don’t talk about it — they live it, breathe it, bleed it.

Being a champion isn’t easy. But it’s what we do.

How it started

I was eight when I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. No one in my family had it — it came out of nowhere, and it hit us hard. I spent a week in the children's hospital while my parents learned to do what my body no longer could: track my glucose, calculate doses, administer insulin. They had to become my pancreas and keep me alive.

I had a game in two days. I wasn't supposed to be released for three more, but I told my doctor he needed to let me out so I could go pitch. He looked at me and said he'd only release me if my parents could prove they were ready to keep me alive on their own. So for the next 48 hours we tested, measured, calculated, and administered — over and over — until we got it right. Three hours before first pitch, after he'd put us through every check he could, the doctor signed off.

I left the hospital, ate on the way to the field, walked out to the mound, and pitched. We won. That's the photo on this page — that exact day. It's been a warrior mindset ever since.

That's the standard I bring to the field every weekend. And the more I played, the more one thing drove me crazy: my gear quit before I did. Batting gloves split, stitching came loose, grip went flat after a couple weeks of cage work — and the store brands weren't cheap. I was paying real money for gear that couldn't keep up with the work I was putting in.

So I set out to fix it. I studied the materials, talked to makers, and set out to design gear that holds up to how I train — not how it looks in a photo. That's how Drakon started: a grinder who refused to settle, building the gear he wished he'd had. Designed around the field. Battle-tested in Houston.

Why it’s different

I’m not trying to build a lifestyle brand. I’m not here to sell you a dream. I’m here to sell you gear that works, gear that holds up, gear that doesn’t quit when you’re putting in the work.

Every product on this site is something I’ve used or would use. I’m still on the field every weekend. I still test gloves in the cage, arm sleeves under Houston sun, bats on wood. If it doesn’t pass my test, it doesn’t go on the site.

The kids who grind shouldn’t have to pay triple what something’s worth just because a pro athlete’s name is on it. They should get quality gear at a fair price, built by someone who knows what they’re going through.

That’s what Drakon is. That’s why it exists.

What matters to us

It has to last

If a glove rips after two weeks, it's junk. Everything we sell gets used hard before it ever ships. If I wouldn't wear it for a full season, it's not going on the site.

No marketing nonsense

We don't promise you'll hit .400 because of a wristband. We make good gear at a fair price and we tell you what it actually does. That's it.

Built by someone who plays

I'm on the field every weekend. I know what it's like when your gear quits on you in the third inning. I design for that, not for a photo shoot.

Earn it back

Athletes who grind get discounts. Real ones, not a 5% code. The kids putting in the work shouldn't pay the most for their gear.
